How the Pre-Oder works.
1.Our Fee is $2.95 a pound hanging weight charged after the pig has been processed. (Final amount will vary due to fluctuating weight of the animal.) The usual hanging weight is 100lb. less than live weight.
We raise them to approximately 300lb. live weight and send them to be processed at a local butcher shop. You pay us for the hanging weight of the pig and You pay the processor for the products you want from the animal.
2. The Butcher Processing fees vary depending on what type of product you’re wanting. (Some people want just lots of sausage others want a lot of cuts.)
3.We will contact you ahead of the processing date to get you a cut sheet filled out for the butcher-shop and go across the final details.
4. We will deliver the pig on the scheduled butcher date. (Our fee for doing that is $35.00)
5.Approximately 2 weeks after butcher date the pig will be available for pick up at the butcher shop or at our homestead.
At that time we will have the final total for everything and payments will be made the butcher and to us at pick up.
